The ECITB provides expert advice, information and skills development to help professionals succeed in their chosen career, managing training programmes, distributing training grants and developing qualifications.
We focus on improving the skills of craftspeople and supervisors working on-site, as well as the skills for office-based staff such as designers and project managers. From apprenticeships for new recruits to initiatives for the self-employed, from courses for unemployed people to management training, we organise and oversee training for every level of career in the industry.
Beyond training, the services we provide to organisations and professionals in the industry are wide-ranging:
We produce regular Labour Market Intelligence reports for employers
We provide employees with careers information and advice
We maintain national skills and safety databases
We carry out research projects to assist the industry with strategic planning
We define and maintain a wide range of occupational standards at all levels.
